My name is Mamadou Lamine Kaba. I am a New York City resident currently based in Bamako, Mali, pursuing a Masterβs in Library and Information Science at Long Island University (2024β2026), followed by a PhD in Information Studies (2026β2029).
I am also a Gates Millennium Scholar, with indirect cost funding provided through the United Negro College Fund (UNCF). These funds cover living expenses while I complete my academic journey.

The GMS award supports graduate study in Library & Information Science, Computer Science, and related fields through 2029. My indirect cost support is disbursed by the United Negro College Fund (UNCF).
